Stir Fry Pad Thai is a lip-smacking meal to relish with friends and family!
In contrary to pasta or other floor noodles, this Thai delicacy tosses in slippery rice noodles along with veggies, meat, and Pad Thai sauce. The crisp bean sprouts, refreshing spring onions, and juicy seared beef create a delicious dish.
The Pad Thai sauce enhances the flavors impressively. It combines the sweet, salty, & sour taste with a bit of earthy savouriness.
Tofu and shrimps can also be added to the Stir Fry Pad Thai recipe!
No Rush
Ingredients
225g Pad Thai rice noodles (see tip)
2 tbsp peanut/vegetable oil
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- 1 red chili (sliced thinly)
- 1/2 cup spring onion (chopped)
1 packet of No Rush Raw Beef Slices
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup carrot (peeled & julienne) (optional)
- 1 egg
1/2 cup Pad Thai sauce
- 1 cup bean sprouts
Directions
Begin by transferring the rice noodles into a large bowl. Pour lukewarm water on the noodles ensuring they are fully submerged. Stir it and let stand for 20-30 minutes (or follow package instructions) until al dente. After that, drain and keep aside.
Meanwhile, prepare the beef slices. Put the into a bowl and add water to rehydrate them for 20 minutes. Then, drain the water and cut the beef slices into thin strips. Keep aside. (internal note: don’t put in packet)
Now, heat the oil in a wok/skillet over a medium-high flame.
Add the garlic, ginger, red chili, & spring onions. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Add the meat, sprinkle salt, and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
Next, add the julienned carrots and mix well for 1 minute.
Next, add the julienned carrots and mix well for 1 minute.
Make some space in the middle of the wok and crack the egg. Scramble and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.
Stir in the prepped noodles and drizzle the Pad Thai sauce. Cook for 6-7 minutes while stirring frequently until they soak up the sauce.
Mix the bean sprouts for 2-3 minutes and turn off the stove.
Finally, serve the stir fry Pad Thai alongside peanuts and lime wedge!
Recipe Note
Tips:
- The authentic Pad Thai noodles are dry rice noodles that are medium-sized and flat. But, you can also use brown rice flat noodles to cut down carbs.
- Pad Thai noodles are always soaked rather than boiled. Boiling turns them into a sticky mess.
For serving:
- Roasted peanuts (crushed roughly)
- Thai chili peanuts (crushed roughly)
- Lime wedges
