These simple stir-fried beef cubes are cooked to perfection! The meat, veggies, and sauce come together into a mouth-watering dish that goes brilliantly with steamed rice. Prepare this quick meal within minutes and serve it for lunch or dinner.
The moist tender meat gets a delectable browning from the high flame cooking. The veggies add a nice bite-like texture and sweet peppery taste. The thick sticky dark sauce is the key flavoring agent. Its rich umami flavor makes the beef cubes a lip-smacking side dish or appetizer!

Ingredients
60g | 1 packet of No Rush freeze-dried beef cubes
A pinch of baking soda
1½ tsp cornstarch
1 small onion (diced)
½ red bell pepper (diced)
½ green bell pepper (diced)
1 tsp ginger (minced)
1 tsp garlic (minced)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1-2 Tbsp canola oil
1 Tbsp oyster sauce
1½ Tbsp soy sauce
1½ tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1½ tsp cooking wine (optional)
4 Tbsp of water
For the Sauce
Directions
Rehydrate the freeze-dried beef cubes by soaking them in water for 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, wine, & water in a bowl.
Pat dry the rehydrated beef cubes and transfer them to a mixing bowl. Mix well with salt and pepper seasoning. Then, sprinkle the baking soda, and cornstarch, followed by 1 tablespoon of the sauce mixture. Toss well to combine.
Drizzle the canola oil into a frying pan and let it heat over a high flame.
When the oil becomes smoking hot, add the beef cubes and let it cook for 2 minutes undisturbed.
Then, toss the meat for 1-2 more minutes or until cooked through and browned. Remove into a dish.
Transfer the sliced onions and bell peppers into the same pan. Drizzle some oil if needed and cook for a minute over high heat while stirring continuously. Remove into a dish.
Heat some oil in the same pan at a medium-high flame.
Add the minced ginger & garlic and saute for 20-30 seconds.
Pour in the remaining sauce, followed by the beef cubes and veggies. Toss well to combine for 30-60 seconds. Remove into a dish and serve immediately!
Recipe Note
After combining the meat with seasonings and sauce, you may set it aside for 15-30 minutes to marinate. This allows the beef cubes to absorb all the flavors and tenderize.
